How do I know if I need to install an IID in New Hampshire?

According to the New Hampshire Department of Motor Vehicles website, If you have been convicted of an aggravated DWI offense under RSA 265-A:18, I(b) or I(c), or a subsequent DWI offense under RSA 265-A:18, IV, you will be required to install an Ignition Interlock Device (IID) in any vehicle registered to you or used by you on a regular basis. This requirement will go into effect after the period of revocation or suspension of your license has been served. The IID must be installed for a minimum of 12 months.

If you have received notification from the DMV that you are required to have an Ignition Interlock Device installed, you must present a Certificate of Installation issued by an approved vendor to the Bureau of Financial Responsibility at the Concord DMV office.

For more information on when you would be required to install an Ignition Interlock device, please refer to New Hampshire laws RSA 265-A:36 and 265-A:36-a.
